Monsters pop up everywhere in our daily lives. They creep into news reports about serial killers and underlie policy discussions of genetically modified food. Last year, philosopher Stephen Asma set out to document the history of these fiends.
Tonight at a program hosted by the Society of Midland Authors he’ll discuss his resulting book- On Monsters: An Unnatural History of Our Worst Fears. The event takes place at 7 p.m. at Cliff Dweller’s Club.
