Boleros for the Disenchanted is directed by Henry Godinez and written by playwright Jose Rivera. Boleros is about Rivera’s parents, a couple brought together by song and struggled to stay together, through thick and thin. For WBEZ, Catalina Maria Johnson has the story on the classic rhythms from Latin America that set the stage.

Boleros for the Disenchanted stars Rene Rivera and Sandra Marquez and runs at the Goodman Theater until July 26.
