According to the U.S. Census, nearly one in five residents in the Chicago area is foreign-born. So it may come as no surprise that Chicago’s been at the center of some immigrant reforms—after all, Chicago is a sanctuary city. And with immigration a vexed issue on the national front, immigration is increasingly the concern of local communities.

How are the aldermanic and mayoral candidates tackling this topic in their campaigns?
