A few years ago, musician and photographer Ryan Socash was having a tough time in Chicago.

He lost a job he loved right around the time his relationship was dissolving. 

Instead of reading the want-ads and the exploring the bar scene, he gave away most of his possessions and moved to Poland. 

It was there that his musical ideas blossomed.  And instead of playing small clubs in Chicago, his band Let Me Introduce You to the End is playing concert halls in Cracow.

Socash and keyboardist Matt Nelson joined us yesterday to talk about their music.

Socash says that the success he found overseas is a wonderful surprise.

His band Let Me Introduce You to the End performs this Saturday night at the Copernicus Foundation in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood.
