There Goes the Neighborhood

Racial strife has long simmered in Chicago. And tensions among ethnic and racial groups are still playing out in Chicago's neighborhoods. So two renowned sociologists and a team of grad students set out to discover how. The result is There Goes the Neighborhood: Racial, Ethnic and Class Tensions in Four Chicago Neighborhoods and Their Meaning for America, co-authored by Harvard professor William Julius Wilson and University of Chicago professor Richard Taub. Taub recently sat down with Eight Forty-Eight's Alison Cuddy.
