For the past 35 years, Barbara Eason-Watkins has been sharing her wisdom with Chicago Public Schools, in a variety of different jobs. Over the years, Watkins climbed the ranks to her current position-chief education officer at CPS. But as yesterday’s news reports revealed come July she’ll leave that job to take over, as superintendent of Michigan City’s public schools. So where does this leave Chicago?
