Unexpected Earthquake Shakes Chicagoans

A 3.8 quake rattled northern Illinois this morning. The epicenter was about 40 miles northwest of Chicago near Pingree Grove, Illinois. No damage or injuries have been reported from the earthquake. But, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t left more than a few people shaken. Philip Carpenter is a geologist from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and he joins us now to talk more about why it happened and what happens now.
