It’s going on week three of a workers’ strike that’s making construction season more of a nightmare. Contract talks have stalled over health benefits for union members and delayed projects on the Eisenhower and Interstate 355. We placed calls out to the main contractors group that’s negotiating with the union. They did not respond to our requests for an interview. But Jim Sweeney, President for Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers, did and he talks about the state of the strike.
