You already know, for the most part, what names are going to be on the Illinois ballot come November. There are big races for governor, U.S. Senate and Congress. What is not yet known is which proposed constitutional amendments will make the ballot. This is the most direct form of democracy in the state. But it’s a long and complicated process to amend Illinois’ constitution, and a key deadline is coming up in just five days. WBEZ political reporter Sam Hudzik tells us more.
