The future of Rod Blagojevich is a tad bit clearer this morning. At a public status hearing yesterday, Judge James Zagel announced that the ex-governor’s re-trial will likely start sometime in January 2011. But the bigger reveal is that his co-defendant and brother is now totally free to go. The government dismissed all charges against Robert Blagojevich. What remains unclear is who will defend Blagojevich – and who will foot the bill. Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Collins discusses what’s ahead.
