A panel of experts, with varying approaches to sex education, take your questions and comments about when and where sex ed should be taught. Melody Fabien is Director of the abstinence education What’s Good Program, part of the child and family support group LYDIA. Soo Ji Min is the executive Director of the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health. Iona Calhoun Battiste is a program supervisor at the Metropolitan Family Services which runs Mentors of Moms, a prevention and education program for at risk kids and their families. Kenyatta Donegan is an 18-year-old mother and student of Kennedy King College in Chicago, who completed the mentoring program. Dr. Dexter Voisin is an associate professor in the school of social service administration at the University of Chicago. His most recent project is the study: “Predictors of HIV Risk Behaviors among Urban Adolescents.”
