Film historian and archivist Joe Rubin says hardcore or X-rated films can be considered classics of cinemacollects hardcore pornography. He thinks there is historical and cinematic value in adult films. To make his case, Rubin is screening some of the forgotten and obscure films of the genre, including A Labor of Love, in a series at the University of Chicago’s Doc Films. It’s called The Golden Age of American Sexploitation: Forgotten Works from the Sexual Underground.
