When it comes to sports, 2010 brought local fans some serious ups and a few downs.

On this encore edition of “Eight Forty-Eight,” director Jason Marck choreographed a look back on another wild and wacky year in sports with host Alison Cuddy, sports contributor Cheryl Raye-Stout and ESPN’s Lester Munson.

As the shows sports producer, Marck is on his game and he says this year was a doozy. For fans of Chicago hockey, the 49-year wait ended: The Blackhawks are Stanley Cup Champions. But For Cubs fans, the wait continues. It’s now at 102 years, not that he’s counting!

And for those following the Bears and the Sox, who knows what to think? Both teams can look very good, or very bad, depending on the day. Meanwhile, Bulls fans are looking at Derrick Rose and thinking “Wow, this kid could actually be the real deal!”
