Hello Beautiful!

Act One

Reporting for NPR, Edward Lifson visits a town in the Czech Republic where the local mayor has erected a wall to separate the local gypsy community from the rest of the citizenry. The gypsies - or "Roma" as they're called - are outraged and say the townspeople are discriminating against them.

Originally broadcast on on June 13, 1998, on "All Things Considered"
