In the 1920s, Ben Hecht, a writer for the Chicago Daily News, challenged himself to write a short story everyday. He called his column, “1,001 Afternoons in Chicago.” The Accessible Contemporary Music ensemble and The Moving Architects dance company are collaborating on a project which provides visual and audio interpretations of 12 of his stories.

Plus, Tony Sarabia reports on a new series which contains music about a specific place, time or event in the city’s history. The first in the ongoing project came out earlier this year; the second one, called Our Lady of the Underpass comes out next week.
