The Loyola University Museum of Art recently opened a new exhibition takes an historical look at Manifest Destiny and environmentalism through the painted landscape. The exhibition, curated by the Terra Foundation of American Art, uses paintings, prints and pastel from its own collection to explore America’s fascination with the land and our evolution in environmental thinking. P.J. Brownlee is the show curator, and he took Hello Beautiful’s Matt Cunningham on a tour of the exhibition.
