In Hello Beautiful’s final weeks, the staff will be bringing you some of its favorite conversations from over the years.

First, we offer Cherie Caswell Dost’s interview with local visual artist Tony Fitzpatrick. He’s a prominent figure in Chicago’s artistic community, and had an exhibition of his work up this past spring at the Chicago Cultural Center. He’s known for his intricate collages of found objects, matchbooks, clippings, and scrawled poetry, that tell stories about the people he knows and the places he’s been.
