This week’s Hello! Fello is Adrian Smith, whose work includes the NBC Tower, the Jin Mao Tower, and what most likely will be the world’s tallest skyscraper, Burj Dubai, among numerous others. Smith spent his entire carreer until last fall at the Chicago firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and in October of 2006 started his own practice Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture. Plus, we hear about low-income housing design, a review of The Exploding Star Orchestra’s new CD, and Johnathan Miller’s take on the campy Thai western, Tears Of A Black Tiger.
