Cruz, Clinton Hope For Big Wins In Texas Primaries

It’s said that everything is bigger in Texas, and Tuesday’s primary elections are no exception. The Lone Star State promises more delegates than any other on Super Tuesday.

Polls suggest a showdown between GOP front-runner Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz, whose home-state advantage and local endorsements could help him clinch his second first-place finish.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is expected to follow up on her commanding victory in South Carolina with another in Texas.

Ben Philpott, senior editor at Here & Now contributor KUT in Austin, joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson for a preview of the biggest electoral contest this season so far.
