The ink’s not even dry on last night’s Iowa caucus results, but the candidates are already on the ground in New Hampshire, preparing for their first primary.
On the GOP side, Ted Cruz came out on top with 28 percent of the vote – sounding as much like a preacher as a politician. A humbler-than-usual Donald Trump took second place with 24 percent. Some are saying that Marco Rubio – who came in third place just a single percentage point behind Donald Trump – was the night’s real winner.
NPR’s Sarah McCammon has been following Ted Cruz and joins Here & Now’s Robin Young from Iowa to discuss the Iowa caucuses and look ahead to New Hampshire.
