Is This Summer Of Violence Like The 1960s?

This summer’s clashes are drawing comparisons with the riots that marked the 1960s. Those conflicts were the subject of The Kerner Report, which Here & Now reported on earlier this year. This past weekend, President Obama said this summer’s violence does not signal a return to that era.

Here & Now’s Robin Young compares and contrasts the eras with Princeton University professor Julian Zelizer.
