More than 11 million documents leaked from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca offer a glimpse into how the rich and powerful launder money, dodge sanctions and avoid taxes.

The law firm says it has done nothing wrong but the documents, for instance, reveal a suspected billion dollar money laundering scheme involving associates of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The documents were leaked to the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung, which shared them with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

Simon Cox, an investigative reporter with the BBC in London, reviews some of the revelations with Here & Now’s Robin Young.
