Homemade Stories is a podcast hosted by Shannon Cason, a powerful voice in the national storytelling front. A Moth GrandSLAM winner, Cason lays out his life for the listener, blemishes and all. Homemade Stories began several years ago with, as the name implies, some home recordings. In the corner of a closet, a coffee can for a “mic stand,” Cason lays out vivid stories — many of them insightful and true, and others imaginative works of fiction. Cason also brings in another element of his past life — artful sound production. The result is a unique storytelling podcast experience.
