No, Neko Case hasn’t been busted (at least not to this blog’s knowledge). The alt-country chanteuse, who always will hold a special place in the hearts of Chicagoans wherever she’s living at the moment, will perform a free concert at an open house held by the Poetry Foundation in its new performance space at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

The singer, who is one of the headliners at the Pitchfork Music Festival next month, will appear in front of an intimate audience of 180 lucky fans to be chosen by a lottery drawing that closes at 5 p.m. today. To enter, visit this site—and keep your fingers crossed!

The publisher of Poetry magazine, the Poetry Foundation is an independent literary organization committed to “a vigorous presence for poetry in our culture.” Its new performance space is located at 61 W. Superior.
