L'Oréal breaks into the wearable tech world

Lizzie O'Leary and Ben Johnson took a trip to L’Oréal's offices in New York to try the the fist-ever stretchable electronic UV monitor. The monitor looks and feels like a sticker, and can stretch and move with your skin.

The company plans to release the patch later this year for free. Guive Balooch, Global Vice President of L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator, explains:

We feel that if you can educate consumers and you can give them the right information that they will use our products...we want to bring technology to the consumer to empower their choices, rather than trying to immediately just make money off of the technology itself.
