Thousands of people lined up to donate blood in Orlando this week after a mass shooting. The need was great, but not everyone who wanted to donate blood could do so. Gay and bisexual men are required to remain celibate for a year before donating blood. Renee Montagne talks to Rep. Mike Quigley, D-IL, about his push to end the FDA’s blood deferral policy.
