More and more women from other states are coming to Illinois to seek abortions. According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, in 2017, more than 55-hundred Illinois abortions were for women from out of state. That’s an increase of around a thousand from 2016. Are more restrictive abortion laws in neighboring states like Iowa and Indiana causing the change? We talked with Katie Watson, a bioethicist from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and author of the book Scarlet A: The Ethics, Law and Politics Of Ordinary Abortion
