Ten years ago Monday, the hearts of Cubs fans were utterly crushed. It was game 6 of the National League Champion Series. The team was five outs away from a trip to the World Series. They hadn’t been there since 1945, and they hadn’t won it since 1908. With the team up 3-0 in the 8th inning, a series of events took place that cost them the game, and ultimately the pennant. We’ll relive one of the most infamous moments in Chicago sports history with people who were there, and the fans who watched their life-long dream wither before their eyes.
