1-Day Nursing Strike Leads To Lockout At University of Chicago Medical Center

More than 2,000 nurses at University of Chicago Medical Center walked off the job Friday, citing staffing issues that put patient safety at risk. Although the strike was set for one day, nurses won’t be able to return to work until Wednesday due to contracts with replacement nurses.
