200 Library Books Scrapped From Illinois Prison
In late January, staff at the Danville Correctional Center removed about 200 books from a prison library and returned them to the University of Illinois.
The books were part of Danville’s Education Justice Project which offers college classes to incarcerated men. It is unclear why they were removed from the facility.
