A Chicagoland Student Walkout Leader Speaks Out

High school students across the country are walking out of class today to call from stricter gun legislation. The walkouts come a month after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida that took 17 lives. In Illinois, it comes the day after Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner vetoed a bill to require gun dealers to get licenses from the state. Morning Shift talks to Max Freeman, a senior at Oak Park and River Forest High School who has organized the March 14 protest and walkout at his school.
