After CTA Fares Jump, WBEZ Listeners Chime In

This week the Chicago Transit Authority’s fare hike went into effect, increasing rides by 25 cents for buses and trains for most riders. The hike marks the first time CTA has raised fares since 2009.

Morning Shift talks to Chicago Tribune transportation reporter Mary Wisniewski about why CTA is choosing to increase fares, how much revenue it could generate, and how that money will be used.
