After Water: Science Fiction meets climate fiction

You might have noticed we’ve been talking about water a lot here at WBEZ lately. There’s a reason for that. We’re kicking off a series called “After Water.” It’s a blend of art, science, and journalism about the future of the Great Lakes. We have a couple of the people working to bring this series to life in studio today, WBEZ’s Cate Cahan and April Van Buren. We’re not the only ones thinking about the intersection of art and science, though. We’ll also be joined by science fiction expert and Roosevelt University professor Gary Wolfe to talk about the rise of “cli-fi”-that’s fiction about climate change—as a literary genre.
