There was a time when Aldi was thought of as a low end discount food store with weird policies on carts and bagging. But the German-owned company with the no-frills atmosphere has started attracting a new brand of customer—one who is looking for a bargain but also wants organic soy milk, Spanish Manchego cheese, organic kale and organic granola.
