We often hear about how Americans are lagging behind other countries in putting young people to work. College graduates are entering the job force under-employed and riddled with debt. Some of have to wait it out for higher-paying jobs and medical benefits by doing internships in their field. But there’s another approach-apprenticeships. President Obama and some business leaders think training young people in a specific career field will prepare them to fill that jobs that are seeing growth.
