Apprenticeships may be route for young job seekers

We often hear about how Americans are lagging behind other countries in putting young people to work. College graduates are entering the job force under-employed and riddled with debt. Some of have to wait it out for higher-paying jobs and medical benefits by doing internships in their field. But there’s another approach-apprenticeships. President Obama and some business leaders think training young people in a specific career field will prepare them to fill that jobs that are seeing growth. Tech entrepreneur and Dev Bootcamp co-founder Dave Hoover explains why he supports the apprenticeship model. (Photo: Flickr/Department for Transport)
