Charlie Branda, an artist from Chicago’s Old Town Neighborhood, is taking a stand against segregation by race and class in Chicago. Her studio, called Art on Sedgwick, sits at the border between the predominantly black west side of Old Town and the predominantly white east side. Art on Sedgwick invites people from diverse racial and economic backgrounds to come together for classes and projects.

Branda joins the Morning Shift to talk about Art on Sedgwick, as well as her experience of the racial divide in her neighborhood.
