The Bears lost their final preseason game last night against the Buffalo Bills…28 to 27. It was a sleepy affair featuring the backups to the backups…guys hoping the coaches would see something to keep them from being cut.  

One of the players who doesn’t have to worry about his spot on the roster is Sam Acho. The outside linebacker doubles as the Bears’ union rep, and he’s on the executive committee of the NFL Players Association. He’s also close to team chairman George McCaskey.

In an exclusive 1-on-1 interview this week with WBEZ sports contributor Cheryl Raye Stout at Halas Hall, Acho opened up about his upbringing, his Christian faith, domestic violence, and the #TakeAKnee movement where some NFL players have protested racism and police brutality during the National Anthem.
