Book recollects story of kindness and survival on Holocaust Remembrance Day
Sunday to Monday marks Yom HaShoah- Holocaust Remembrance Day. It was intended to coincide with the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, but also coincides with the end of Passover. There will be services and events across the country to remember victims and loved ones who were lost during the Holocaust. Here in Chicago, author Marty Brounstein shares the story of a Catholic couple that harbored Jews during that period. They saved the lives of two people very close to him-his wife’s parents. Brounstein shares the story of those “righteous few”.
