Calumet region meets to talk about environmental impacts

Over the years, there’s been somewhat of a rivalry between Illinois and Indiana. Indiana has made efforts to lure business away from Illinois and now Gov. Bruce Rauner wants to do the same. In reality, the two states have a lot more in common and share more than just a state border. In fact, leaders in both states are trying to designate portions of Chicago’s South Side and parts of Northwest Indiana as the Calumet Region National Heritage Area.
