Centrella could be the latest player in Chicago’s grocery wars
Crain’s Chicago Business reported Thursday that stores affiliated with the independent grocery co-op Central Grocers-purveyors of the Centrella brand-may be on the verge of buying some of the Dominick’s locations closing around Chicago. Have we seen this kind of grocery store upheaval before? Can the independent grocer model compete here?
