Changes afoot for No Child Left Behind

The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions is working on a bi-partisan bill to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act -- most recently known as No Child Left Behind. The law expired at the end of last year and a new version could shift how public schools operate going forward. Joining us now to talk about how the rewrite could affect schools in Illinois is Peter Cunningham, former press secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, Robin Steans, executive director of Advance Illinois, and the president of the National Education Association Lily Eskelsen-Garcia.
