There has been much made of the Chicago Cubs minor league system. But most of the headlines have been about the players, not the organizations. Well, that may change as the Chicago Cubs have yet to renew a deal to keep some of their affiliates, including the Kane County Cougars. The Cougars just won their league and celebrated last night at Wrigley Field. You would think the Cubs would like to have a minor league team near them, but proximity is playing less and less a role in the changing landscape of minor league affiliates.
