Chicago is the latest city to raise its minimum wage. It follows in the footsteps of Seattle and more recently San Francisco, which hiked its hourly wage to $15 an hour. There were lots of speeches about the issue during Tuesday’s Chicago City Council meeting and in the end the vote was a lopsided 44-5.
