Chicago Public Library celebrates National Library Week

This week, libraries around the country are celebrating National Library Week, a chance to focus on the many resources visitors can find within the stacks of books. Here in Chicago, the library is connecting with residents through a re-designed Website, where users can place holds on books and read literary reviews. This could be a way to connect with library goers after hours were cut at city branches in an attempt to save money. We check in with Commissioner Brian Bannon about plans during National Library Week, and how visitors are making use of the library today. Photo: Flickr/Smath
