Eleventh Dream Day have been together going on 30 years and in that time released a dozen albums. While some of the band’s more famous peers have shifted over to the nostalgia lane, EDD’s music sounds as fresh and new as it did back when they came together in the late 1980s. Their latest and 13th release, Works For Tomorrow, features two guitarists and some horns along with drummer Janet Beveridge Bean’s strong and, at times, gritty and soaring vocals. EDD heads back to the Hideout, where much of the album’s material was worked out during an extensive residency, for a record release party next Friday. They give us a preview of what to expect.
