Certain parts of our city have become so plagued by violence that people refer to these neighborhoods as “war zones”. Chicago Tribune overnight reporter Peter Nickeas sees it every day. The worst of the worst and the saddest of the sad. The perpetrators, the victims, and the friends and families left devastated by it all.
