Chicagoland Christians look to unusual alternative to pay medical bills
Christians across the Chicago region are opting out of insurance and into health care sharing ministries. These programs allow members to share their medical expenses and require a strict evangelical Christian lifestyle. Members say they save money, and help them live out their beliefs. We talk with WBEZ producer Lynette Kalsnes and family member of Samaritan Ministries, John Appleton, about this alternative approach to health care.
