Congressman Peter Roskam responds to the President’s speech
Republicans are already threatening action on any moves President Obama may make on immigration. Obama will address the nation Thursday night and lay out details of an executive order that he says will improve the current system. His opponents in Congress haven’t said exactly what they’ll do to halt the President’s plan, but incoming Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said his party will make immigration a central focus when Congress resumes early next year. We talk to Illinois’ 6th District Congressman Peter Roskam about his reaction to the speech.
