Cook County is looking to stabilize the housing market, and it’s getting a hearty financial boost to help put more people in vacant homes. The PrivateBank is giving the Cook County Land Bank $10 million to help move vacant properties into the rehab and sale state. Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer explains what this first time investment from a private entity means for the land bank.
