For some neighborhoods in Chicago, there isn’t always a safe walk to school. That’s why Chicago Public Schools, in partnership with Chicago Park Districts and the Chicago Police Department, developed the Safe Passage program, which aims to create safe routes for students to get to and from school, with trained adults stationed along the paths.

Morning Shift talks to Jadine Chou, CPS Chief of Safety and Security, about the latest updates to the Safe Passage program.
